You may have read our blog about PACE financing being under attack from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.  Great news...you can do something about it!  There is a briefing in D.C. on Feb. 10th, so please call your Congress representative and have them or an aid attend.   PACE financing has the potential to greatly expand residential clean energy installations.

Don't know how to find your Congress rep's contact info?  Good news, I've made it incredibly easy for you, so now you have zero excuse (other than laziness).  Just follow the steps below!

Step 1:) Find your full zip code.  This includes the 5 numbers, the dash, and 4 more numbers (zip + 4).  Use this tool from the U.S. postal service to find your full zip code.

Step 2:) Enter your full zip code on the Congress.org website to find your Congress representative's contact information.

Step 3:) Call the representative's office or send them an email.  I called the office, asked who I needed to speak to, and got that person's email.  It literally took 30 seconds.  Here is the email I sent her:

"I'm a resident of Cobb Co. and one of the founders of Mapawatt Blog. I've also worked with a solar installer in GA and am a huge supporter of clean energy.  I'm not sure if you were aware, but there is a staff briefing on Feb. 10th on PACE Financing at 2:30. Here is the info on the PACE Financing staff briefing

Please let me know if Congressman Scott or a representative of his can attend. I can't tell you how important this is for the future of clean energy in our state. And the beauty of PACE is that it pays for itself (resident agrees to installation and pays the cost through his tax bill). In politics, rarely does there seem to be win-win situations, but this is one of them. It's not a zero-sum game either. The resident and the community benefit! Nobody is forced to pay higher taxes!

I'm posting a copy of this letter on our blog. I look forward to your response!"

Feel free to plagiarize me as much as you want!
